Spoleto is a historic town situated in the Umbria region of central Italy. Known for its rich cultural heritage dating back to Roman times, the city features remarkable architectural landmarks including the Duomo (Cathedral) with its Renaissance frescoes and the impressive Ponte delle Torri, a 13th-century aqueduct bridge.
Since 1958, Spoleto has gained international recognition as the home of the Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of Two Worlds), an annual summer festival celebrating music, opera, theater, and visual arts. The town's medieval center, with its winding streets and well-preserved buildings, reflects its importance as a Lombard duchy and later as part of the Papal States.
Today, Spoleto continues to be an important cultural center, attracting visitors interested in both its historical heritage and contemporary arts scene.
