Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Poland, situated in the middle of the country and standing on the Vistula River. During the Second World War, Warsaw was almost completely destroyed. Its history of wreckages and redevelopment and ability to recreate itself from the ruins and regain its glory, has earned Warsaw the title of ‘phoenix city’.

Today Warsaw is one of Europe’s most dynamic metropolitan city, with a mixture of new and old style architecture and its historical Old Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is now renowned for its bars and restaurants, outspread greenery, but most importantly also for its large variety of museums and art galleries.
