The The Janis Rozentāls and Rūdolfs Blaumanis Museum is devoted to one of the founders of Latvian professional fine arts, Janis Rozentāls (1866 - 1916). He lived in the Apartment No. 9 from 1904 until 1915. The building was built in 1903 and designed by architects K. Pēkšēns and E. Laube and is one of the most significant Art Nouveau architectural monuments in the city. The museum presents the Art Nouveau period apartment interior and the creative work of Rozentāl. Latvian writer Rūdolfs Blaumanis (1863 - 1908) was a friend of Rozentāl and periodically lived in the apartment. The museum also features a memorial room on him.
