The KGB Museum is a museum in Tallin and is a branch of Tartu City Museum (Tartu Linnamuuseumi). The KGB Museum is located in the so-called Hall House, which was home to the Department of State Security of the Estonian SSR in the 1960s. Visitors have access to the basement of the building, where there was pre-trial detention for political prisoners. Some of the rooms and objects are restored in their original form. Visitors can explore the dark history of the Soviet era and experience what it was like to be spied on by the KGB.
