The Maarjamäe Summer Palace Castle (Maarjamäe Palace) is a castle in Tallinn that houses an exhibition of the History Museum. The current castle was built by 1874 General Anatoly Orlov-Davydov. The most remarkable part of the castle is a gothic portal. The exhibition “My Free Country” in the Maarjamäe Palace takes visitors on a 100 year journey from the birth of the Republic of Estonia to the modern day. Visitors go through eight rooms that present an overview of the important events of the era through the displayed artefacts, texts and interiors.
