The Mikkel Museum in Tallinn, Estonia, is a small but notable art museum that showcases a diverse collection of European and Chinese art. Located in the picturesque Old Town, the museum houses the private collection of Johannes Mikkel, an Estonian art collector.

Visitors appreciate the museum's intimate setting, which allows for a close-up view of the artworks. The collection includes European paintings, porcelain, and silver, as well as Chinese ceramics. Many reviewers highlight the quality and variety of the exhibits, particularly the impressive array of porcelain pieces.

The museum's location in a historic building adds to its charm, with some guests noting the interesting architecture. However, some visitors mention that the museum is relatively small and can be explored in a short amount of time.

While the Mikkel Museum may not be as extensive as some larger art institutions, it offers a focused and well-curated experience. It's particularly appealing to art enthusiasts and those interested in decorative arts. The staff is generally described as helpful and knowledgeable.

On the downside, a few visitors find the entrance fee slightly high for the size of the collection. Additionally, some mention that information about the exhibits could be more comprehensive, especially for non-Estonian speakers.

Overall, the Mikkel Museum provides a pleasant and educational experience for those interested in European and Chinese art, offering a more intimate alternative to larger museums in Tallinn.
