The headquarters of the Barcelona City History Museum is situated in the three-story building. The museum lets you explore the remains of the ancient Roman city of Barcino. The museum consists of the archaeological underground and Palau Reial. The underground is all about the daily life in Roman times and the remains of original houses. Walk past the city walls, streets, factories and a laundry from the 2nd century AD. Part of the underground complex is also devoted to the symbolism and preparation of wine. Palau Comtal (Palau Reial) was used as a royal residence and is known for the hall Saló del Tinell and the Chapel of Santa Àgata.
