Museo nazionale di Capodimonte (The National Museum of Capodimonte) houses galleries of ancient art, one of contemporary art and a historic apartment. The collection mainly consists of paintings, from two main collections, namely the Farnese collection, which includes Italian as well as international works by artists such as Raphael, Titian, Parmigianino, Bruegel the Elder, El Greco, Ludovico Carracci and Guido Reni. The other main collection is from the Neapolitan Gallery, with works from churches in the city and its surroundings. Also important is the contemporary art collection, in which Vesuvius by Andy Warhol stands out.
