NUKU is a puppet theater in the Estonian capital Tallinn. The theater was founded in 1952 by puppeteer Ferdinand Veike. In 2010, a museum opened in the same building that shows the history of Estonian puppet theater. The NUKU Theatre & Museum has a permanent exhibition called "The Story of Creating a Puppet Theater". The museum starts with the introduction of four basic elements in a theatrical way and covers three floors, where visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the five puppet "species" and theaters. Each puppet has its own space and stage.
