Polismuseet and its collection

The Police Museum (Polismuseet) is a policing museum in Stockholm that is dedicated to the history of the Swedish Police. The exhibitions are arranged on two floors and show objects of the life of the police through time. One exhibition includes Swedish police uniforms since 1850. Another shows life before the introduction of patrol cars from the 1930s and the changes resulting from the motorization and the use of wireless technology. Upstairs a crime scene is reconstructed and another part deals with the role of the police in a democratic society. One area is specially designed for children.
