The Royal Coin Cabinet (Kungliga Myntkabinettet), also The Swedish Economic Museum (Sveriges ekonomiska museum) is a museum in Stockholm that is devoted to the history of money and economic history. The Royal Coin Cabinet is one of the oldest museums in Sweden, its collections go back to the 1570s. The collections contains more than 600,000 objects. Highlights in the collection include: the oldest Swedish coin, a copper plate coin dating from 1644 that, parts of the Lohe treasure found in Gamla Stan, the Weimar Republic inflation currency and Nobel Prize medals. The museum also houses the Lovisa Ulrika Library with numismatic literature.
