The San Francisco Zoo, nestled in the southwest corner of San Francisco, California, is a sprawling 100-acre park that is home to over 260 different species of animals. The zoo is conveniently located between Lake Merced and the Pacific Ocean, making it a scenic destination for visitors. It is easily accessible via the Great Highway, which runs along the western side of the zoo.
Main Entrance of the San Francisco Zoo
The main entrance to the San Francisco Zoo has been relocated from its original position on the north side across Sloat Boulevard. It is now situated on the west side of the zoo, adjacent to the Great Highway. This change makes it even more accessible for visitors traveling by car or public transportation, as it is just a block south of the Muni Metro line.
