Oranjewoud is a historic estate and village located in the municipality of Heerenveen in the Dutch province of Friesland. The area gained significance in the 17th century when Albertine Agnes van Oranje-Nassau, the widow of the Frisian stadtholder Willem Frederik, established a summer residence there. The estate features formal gardens, forests, and walking paths laid out in the French Baroque style. The name Oranjewoud, meaning "Orange Forest," reflects its royal connection to the House of Orange-Nassau.

Today, the area is known for its cultural heritage, particularly Museumpark Landgoed Oranjewoud, which combines historic architecture with contemporary art and cultural programming. The surrounding landscape preserves much of its historical character with impressive lanes of trees, water features, and structured gardens that reflect the Dutch garden architecture of the Golden Age.
