Barcelona is the second largest city of Spain and is the capital of Catalonia, situated on the northeastern Mediterranean coast op Spain, on a plain mostly surrounded by the mountain range of Collserola. The city is both historic as well as modern, with constant work on projects changing the face of the city. Besides this 2 works by the Catalan art nouveau architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner are listed as World heritage: Hospital de Sant Pau in Eixample and Palau de la Música Catalana in Ciutat Vella.
