The Musée de la musique in Paris (Music Museum Paris) has a collection of hundreds of musical instruments collected by the Conservatoire de Paris. The museum collection includes instruments that were used in classical and folk music from the 15th century to the present. The collection of this Music Museum includes lutes, archlutes, almost 200 classical guitars, violins from Italian violin makers Antonio Stradivari, the Guarneri family and Nicolò Amati, French and Flemish harpsichords; pianos from French piano makers Erard and Ignaz Pleyel; and saxophones from Adolphe Sax. The instruments are exhibited per period and type.
