NEMO Science Museum is located on the foundations of the IJ-tunnel in a building from 1997 designed by Renzo Piano. It is the largest science museum in the Netherlands. The visitor can discover the world of science and technology, by doing experiments on scientific and technical developments related to biology, behavioral science, information technology, and especially physics and chemistry. The museum is especially suitable for children.

    I expected a proper science museum, that also has something to offer for adults. But it really is only for kids. Your kids will love it, but for parents/adults it is not recommended.

    Nemo is een echt doe-museum. Onze kinderen hebben het erg naar hun zin gehad. Er was van alles te doen, te zien en te leren. Toen het museum ging sluiten hadden we moeite de kinderen mee naar huis te krijgen!

    Perfect for kids. Not so perfect if you hate a lot of kids screaming together. Be sure to check national holidays before visiting.
