Munich is a city in the south of Germany and is the capital of the federal state of Bavaria. Munich was largely bombed during the Second World War. After the war, during the reconstruction of the city, it was decided to restore the historic center and the city regained its old appearance.

In addition to all the typical museums, there are many other sights in Munich, including many churches, the most famous being the Frauenkirche. The Residenz, a palace from the 17th century, is also located in Munich and the town hall is known for its chimes. There are two castles in Munich: Schloss Nymphenburg and Schloss Schleissheim.
