The Fondation Custodia is a foundation in Paris that was founded in 1947, located in the Hôtel Turgot, that manages the collection of Frits Lugt, a self-taught collector and connoisseur of Dutch drawings and prints. Frits Lugt started his collection of drawings in the thirties. The collection comprises around 7,000 drawings and 30,000 prints, 200 paintings, many books and more than 40,000 artists' letters, including two of Rembrandt's seven known ones. Drawings by Dutch and Flemish masters from the 17th century form the core of the collection.
