Arue is a commune in French Polynesia, situated on the island of Tahiti. Located on the northeast coast of the island, approximately 6 kilometers from Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia, Arue is known for its beautiful coastal setting and cultural heritage.

The commune has played a significant role in Polynesian history and was once home to the Pomare dynasty, the royal family that ruled Tahiti until the late 19th century. Today, Arue combines its historical significance with modern development, featuring both traditional Polynesian culture and contemporary French influence in its architecture and daily life.
