The Hermitage Amsterdam is part of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg (Russia). The museum organizes changing art exhibitions. A new exhibition is opened twice a year. The exhibited collections are on various topics such as Alexander the Great, Flemish art, religious art or Russian tsars. A separate building (Neerlandia), houses the Hermitage for Children, and consists of five studios, two classrooms, a children's gift shop and a children's canteen.

The inside of The Hermitage in Amsterdam is full of history and art. We visited the portrait gallery of the Golden Age and toured the temporary exhibition about Catherine the Great. The sculptures and portraits are amazing and the whole visit can take several hours. So pretty good value.
I went to the Hermitage in Amsterdam with my wife. We were lucky as they just launched their new exhibition on Catherine. I was pleasantly surprised and will visit again when they have a new exhibition on display!
Not the most famous museum in Amsterdam, but still really worth a visit. The museum does changing exhibitions, so I guess it depends on the exhibition how ‘good’ the museum is. I would definitely go again.
